UN's Climate Disaster Plan Turning Heads

The United Nations (UN) is a polarizing global organization that most people consider either essential to a free people, or an utterly useless, power-hungry waste of money. Despite your personal feelings on the UN, this is where the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) was created.
A very odd thing that you might not have known about the IPCC: It's made up almost entirely of generationally wealthy individuals, not actual scientists. That pushed aside for a moment, the IPCC recently released its third and final report on climate change, as in what they suggest the world do to combat the issue. What the UN suggests seems to be adored by governments but hated by people on the right and left side of the spectrum.
According to the UN, individuals need to stop things like wearing masks, because it's bad for pollution. They also suggest that individuals stop trying to make personal changes, as they're statistically not having any impact on climate reports. Of course, the IPCC fails to mention that it's perhaps the emissions from China, India and Brazil that are offsetting individual changes. Though we can't expect too much from the IPCC here; they're only allowed to go after western nations. Anything else is racism, according to mainstream logic.
Though suffice to say, people on the left aren't happy about being told that their adherence to "green" principles has been a waste.
What the UN suggests is that governments take total control over their nations and the populace in order to force people to change the way they live. And who, you ask, will be in charge of this push to take away people's freedoms for their own good? The IPCC, coincidentally. Don't worry, though; it's totally just based on the science.
The right-wing has always ignored the IPCC and likely always will. Though now after being told that their practical changes are useless to the world, many on the left-wing are upset and starting to question the sincerity of the IPCC as they claim the climate disaster is already here.
The Consensus Isn't What You Think
Climate change (global warming) is something that you may believe in. It's something that you may consider settled science; something that is obviously happening and a threat to every man, woman and child on this planet. You might believe in this phenomenon so much that it angers you if other people do not believe it. If you do believe in man-made climate change and aren't an actual scientist in the field, you may have been convinced by hearing the media and politicians tell you about a "scientific consensus" on climate change, where over 90% of scientists agree. However, you're not being told the truth about what this consensus is.
"Science," as it was known through enlightenment as a process wherein individuals used sound methodology to discern what was or is more or less likely, has turned very academic over the past few years. The peer-review process within some organizations, especially colleges, uses "social justice" more so than actual scientists reviewing potential theories.
The danger here isn't that the world is necessarily becoming less scientific. The danger is that "science" seems to be susceptible to the same sorts of pressures as everything else in society. And that's scary.
When they tell you that X percentage of scientists agree that climate change is real and an imminent threat, what they leave out is that most of these scientists are sociologists, psychologists and cultural anthropologists. The fact is that very few climatologists agree with man-made climate change, and even fewer are asked to review the findings of international bodies.
There are about 18,000 practicing, qualified climatologists on the planet as of 2022, and fewer than 10% have been brought in to work toward this "consensus" everyone hears so much about.
Now, again, no one is suggesting that climate change isn't real or that you should or shouldn't believe it's happening. The point here is that authoritative bodies play very fast and loose with this topic, in order to get what they want.
Climate change being some imminent threat that's going to drive living organisms into extinction allows the UN and various governments to act very dictatorial with their legislation. The UN demands individual change stop and be replaced by entire governments forcing sweeping changes.
Now, do you believe this is coming from a place of genuine care and compassion for mankind? Or could it possibly be another attempt to grab even more power? You have to make up your own mind here. Just know that whether real or imagined, there's always someone looking to seize more power during a disaster.
